The weekend means that we take it easy and relax. Following that theme, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness is not going to bombard you with news about the game. Square Enix is not going to send your heart rate skyrocketing with the excitement of battle footage. No, today we are going to take a relaxing tour through a couple of locales you will explore in the game. These are locations on the planet Faykreed, which our heroes call home.
First we have the kingdom of Langdauq. This is home to Fiore Brunelli and where the signeturges study to master their abilities. Beautiful, modern towers adorn the city and the people are at peace. I am not sure why but rabbits of various sizes roam the streets but they do not seem to be a nuisance. The library is pretty amazing and if the remake of Final Fantasy VII has areas that look half as good, we are in for an amazing year of RPGs.
Our last stop on the tour for today is the kingdom of Resulia. Victor Oakville serves in the Resulian army as an elite soldier. The main city has a much older look than Langdauq, the homes are much simpler and cobblestone if very much the decor for this city. However, it appears that Resulia is more in touch with nature as you see the vast plains, beautiful waterfalls and proximity to the ocean. Unfortunately, the beauty and simplicity of this land is threatened by the presence of many cursed beasts. There is also the threat of a group of bandits that call themselves Eitalon. Fidel and Victor look to put an end to these threats and the others will aid them in their task.
I look forward to learning more about both kingdoms along with the other locations that will be visited in this game. Stay tuned to R.A.G.E. Works for more information. Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness comes exclusively to PlayStation 4 on June 28.
