Plot Synopsis: James Bond has left active service. His peace is short-lived when Felix Leiter, an old friend from the CIA, turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology. -via IMDB
1st Impression: The latest trailer for No Time To Die provided a sizable amount of action and continued to tease Madeleine Swann’s “secret” and how it will destroy James Bond. Seeing more of Rami Malek’s Safin was good and continues to raise questions on where he fits in concerning this story. We know Christoph Waltz’s Blofeld is back, and I am glad to see him as I felt Waltz and Craig have great chemistry, and Waltz brings that perfect amount of sinister to the Blofeld character, which aligns with the more brutal nature of Craig’s 007. The trailer checked off all the boxes in terms of action for sure.
My Take: Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007 was delayed due to COVID-19, but all signs to point to the film hitting theaters in November. As a long time fan of the 007 series, especially Craig’s more grounded and abrasive take as Bond, I look forward to seeing his story come to a close, especially with all the great talent on hand for this film.
I like what they are doing with Lashana Lynch and her use of the 007 moniker. I feel her scenes with Bond are going to steal the show. I can only hope that No Time To Die is more Skyfall and less Quantum of Solace as Bond needs to go out on a high note.
