Final Fantasy XVI opened the PlayStation 5 reveal in September and shocked audiences. With no advance notice, Square Enix gave the world a four-minute glance into their next massive adventure. Many questions were raised and (intentionally) none were answered, leaving fans to drool with anticipation. Today, Square Enix is answering some questions knowing that many more will arise as a result.
About Final Fantasy XVI
The next Final Fantasy adventure brings players into a world where Eikons are powerful and deadly creatures residing within Dominants. A Dominant is one with the ability to call upon the power of the summon creatures like Phoenix and Shiva. The story follows Clive Rosfield, a young man dedicated to mastering the blade. Originally expected to become the Phoenix Dominant, that role falls to his younger brother, Joshua. Clive is dubbed the First Shield of Rosaria and tasked to guard Joshua. Unexpected events set Clive on a dark and dangerous road to revenge; this is what we know so far.
