Jazwares Unveils Their First Wave Of UFC Action Figures

When we visited Jazwares during Toy Fair 2020 to see the AEW figures, we were drawn to the display of UFC action figures that they had set up. Sadly at the time, we were unable to share any info about them, but we were impressed with what Jazwares had in mind with regard to the line. I am happy to report that we got the green light from Jazwares to share not only news on the UFC action figure line but a sneak peek at the first wave.

The first wave of figures will include current and former UFC champions, including UFC lightweight champion Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones, former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion “The Notorious” Conor McGregor. Additional fighters such as former light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, former featherweight champion Max Holloway and UFC lightweight Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, are also featured in the first wave. Check out the figures below.

Conor “Notorious” McGregor

I am impressed with the faithful recreation of McGregor's tattoos and the screaming head and Ireland flag are a nice touch.

Daniel “DC” Cormier

Jon “Bones” Jones

While I know each of the figures is six inches tall, I would have liked a bit more of a contrast in scale when looking at a fighter like Jon Jones compared to Khabib or Conor. That was something WWE implemented in their later lines, and it looks great when displaying the figures. The same way Rey Mysterio is not as tall as Big Show, the same logic applies when looking at someone like Jon Jones compared to Khabib or Conor. I hope this is considered in future waves.

Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov

Khabib is not only faithfully recreated but I like the fact that they included his signature papakha. It would have been cool for hat to use real material like the fight shorts. A small detail that I personally would have liked but its omission does detract from the figure.

Max “Blessed” Holloway

Holloway's face scan is probably one of the best of the entire line and looks like it was pulled straight from a photo.

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone

The Donald Cerrone figure has a chase variant in white shorts versus the standard figure that includes grey shorts.

Each figure is six inches tall and has 30 points of articulation along with alternate heads, signature accessories, and fight shorts made of real material to add a bit of additional realism to the figures. If you want to be one of the first to get your hands on these figures you can pre-order them from Ringside Collectibles here starting today. Amazon and Wal-Mart will have the figures in early August.

Jazwares will going all in on the UFC license and in addition to the figures shown here you will see plush offerings, an Octagon playset and role play items like the UFC Legacy Championship Belt.

I like the variety in the first wave of figures and look forward to seeing more active UFC fighters and legends such as GSP, Anderson Silva and Chuck Liddell. The Octagon Playset should come with a Bruce Buffer and maybe a Joe Rogan for display purposes.
