Amazing Spider-Man #800 is the first Marvel book in the company's history to hit 800 issues and the milestone also concludes Dan Slott's run on the book. In terms of story, this issue will be the conclusion of the Red Goblin arc and what is being billed as Spidey's final battle with Norman Osborn.

My Take: Amazing Spider-Man has a had a tremendous run with Dan Slott and to see him close out that run with a classic Spider-Man versus Goblin battle is only fitting. While I am not a fan of the whole merging two iconic Spider-Man villains I know that when Norman Osborn is involved good writers bring their A-game and Dan Slott is no exception. Whatever title gets Dan Slott at the helm will surely be in for a wild ride.
