If you have seen some of our previous event coverage, then XM Studios should be a name you’re familiar with, but if you’re not, you are in for a treat as the talented design studio will be unveiling some fantastic Godzilla pieces at this year’s New York Comic Con. The four luxury cold cast pieces will make a welcome addition to any Godzilla fan’s collection as they capture Godzilla’s many incarnations, including:
- Godzilla vs Space Godzilla 60cm statues (Sold as standalone pieces or purchased as a pair) – from the Godzilla vs Space Godzilla 1994 movie
- Godzilla 2001 60cm bust – from the Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack
- Shin Godzilla 60cm bust – from the Shin Godzilla 2016 movie
Check out some prototype teaser images of the cold cast pieces below, as well as the color piece showcasing Godzilla v. Space Godzilla.
“As pop-culture fans ourselves, we are excited to expand our global licenses to bring our fans the world’s best collectible luxury art based on iconic intellectual properties,” said Ben Ang, chief executive officer, XM Studios. “Movie aficionados and fans of Godzilla will be instantly drawn to the craftsmanship, authenticity, and the visual storytelling of these statues. Every piece will catapult them into the storylines conceptualized and interpreted by XM Studios, together with acclaimed illustrator and sculptor Tanaka Kenichi, who is the 2D and 3D artist for this first XM release,”
-Ben Ang, Chief Executive Officer | XM Studios
These cold cast pieces will definitely have a high price tag, but they are high quality, and each is individually hand-painted, which is something that always ensures consistently high-quality pieces, especially when they are as large scale as Godzilla.
As always, be aware that prototypes may change slightly or substantially from their production counterparts. If you’re heading to NYCC this weekend, make sure to stop by the XM Studios booth (#1337) to see them in person and let them know that RAGE Works sent you.
