NN2D Retro Review: ECW Nova Action Figure

It's a new week, and that means a brand new episode of Out of The Box, Into The Ring: Extreme Edition is on deck for you to enjoy. This week Matt and I review the retro action figure of ECW standout Nova from Original San Francisco Toymakers. Nova had a wild ride working when it comes to his in-ring career working in ECW, where he gained the most fame and later WWF. He had stints on the independent circuit and would close out his career after working a Chikara's King of Trios tournament alongside his fellow Blue World Order stablemates Stevie Cool and Da Blue Guy fka Blue Meanie.

Nova was known for his superhero-inspired gear and innovative moves making him an exciting superstar to watch regardless of the company he worked for. It is unfortunate that WWE never did more with the Nova character and instead opted to turn Mike Bucci, aka Nova, into Simon Dean, a parody on infomercial fitness gurus. Dean would go on to briefly manage the Gymini while also serving as jobber fodder for numerous superstars in WWE and sadly never getting to showcase all of his trademark offense.

Check out some of the other ECW original action figures Matt and I reviewed including:

Matt has also reviewed some other ECW figures from the Original San Francisco Toy Makers line with Vinnie, which you can check out here.
